In Loving Memory of Mimi

In Susanville where adventure began,
Mimi the St. Bernard, a gentle giant,
With Mickey by her side, together they roamed,
In town and countryside, they called it home.
Christina’s heart swelled with calls from afar,
As they chased through the snow, a famous pair,
Beloved by all, they shone like a star,
Mimi’s warm spirit filled the crisp air.
A princess in repose, by the window she'd sit,
Curiosity sparked, was she real or a bit?
Children would stop, in awe they'd gaze,
Neighbors knew her name, their hearts she'd amaze.
A super lounger, a love bug so sweet,
With kisses and slobbers, she made life complete.
An instigator of play, yet loyal and true,
She’d feast with delight, but never would chew.
Through illness she battled, yet love pulled her near,
A snorer by night, she brought joy and cheer.
Dressed for Halloween, a hatchet on her head,
“Is she Beethoven?” the little ones said.
She lived as a treasure, a decade or more,
With adventures aplenty, she opened the door,
To a life full of laughter, with Chloe and Cinco,
A pack made of love, in sunshine and snow.
Her final adventure at Carmel Valley’s embrace,
Lounging in comfort, her heart found its place.
When the time came to leave, she knew no regret,
For a life filled with joy, she’d never forget.
On a cloudy day, with tears from the sky,
Christina held her close, as the earth whispered bye.
With Mike and dear Cinco, her buddy so true,
Mimi left this world, yet her love will shine through.
So here’s to sweet Mimi, the princess we adore,
In our hearts, you will live, forevermore.
Thank you, dear Mimi, for the love that you gave,
In our memories, you flourish, eternally brave.
